About My Practice

I provide both short-term and long-term therapy that is client-centered and collaborative. My office is in the Laurel Village neighborhood of San Francisco.

My greatest area of both expertise and interest is couples' therapy and Relationship Issues for individuals. I treat married and unmarried couples of all sexual preferences, and also parents and children, siblings, friends, co-workers, business partners, etc.

I have been helping people recover from addictions to drug, alcohol and food for 30 years in both hospital and private practice settings. My master’s thesis was "Think Thin; How to become a normal eater". While you can abstain 100% from drugs and alcohol, food (like people!!) is an ongoing relationship that requires daily attention, care, and choices.

I enjoy working with clients who are actively involved with a twelve-step program or a "harm reduction" approach.

I have extensive training and experience as a group facilitator. Groups for the general public will be listed on this site. I am also available to facilitate your workplace or family group.
